Winter Ball

My oldest daughter went to the winter ball with her boyfriend on Saturday. His mother offered to do her hair and makeup. She did a nice job, but my fifteen-year old daughter looked about twenty. Yikes.

Still, she looked great. At least I think so. I'm her mother. I'm supposed to.

Lisa - We can't pick your family. Doesn't it stink?

I'm so glad that we CAN pick our friends!

She's beautiful! I always felt bad for the adolescent boys who look so much younger than the girls their age--they have to feel so awkward! :-)

BabelBabe... I have a feeling she might like that idea... hehe...

I remember my first winter ball... *sigh* I think the guy's parents got enough pictures for everyone of their family members and their dogs...

Get all the pictures you can. She will need them someday. She is beautiful when she wakes up so the make up is only unneeded window dressing.
I don't like to think of her as older but if she must grow up she might as well be drop dead gorgeous.

Babelbabe - He usually wears glasses so he looks like a Harry Potter/Ron Weasley cross. My daughter considers this a plus since she is a fan.

If he looked like Hagrid, it might be a different story.

Lisa - oops. I meant to say we can't pick "our" family - not "your" family. I'm sure you could do a much better job of picking a family for yourself than I could.
