Dear Fellow Shoppers,

Please look closely at this picture. This is a trashcan. The purpose of a trashcan is to hold TRASH.

Now look closely at the next picture. This is a grocery cart. The purpose of a grocery cart is to hold GROCERIES.

Here is a list of things I do not want to find in the grocery cart I am preparing to use.

1. Your old grocery list
2. Your snot rag
3. Your bags
4. Your empty drink cups
5. Your receipt
6. Empty boxes
7. Crumbled napkins
8. Dirty diapers

Please note that all of the items I listed go under the definition of trash. If you need a place to put them, and you are confused, please view the top picture AGAIN! That's right. All those things go in the trash can.

If you can't find a trash can, take them with you and throw them away when you get home. I don't want your disgusting germs.

Note: For those of you who are reading this and agree, feel free to print it out and hang it on the bulletin board of your local store.

Bearette - Yes, I once found a dirty diaper in a cart. It was out in the parking lot. I think they changed the kid in the car then threw the diaper in the cart. I always look for one without trash too. Circulars don't bug me, but dirty tissues do.

I hate seeing dirty diapers laying on the ground in parking lots. Do these people think that it will eventually just disappear? That is just gross to put it in a shopping cart where people are putting groceries. Cross contamination! I think I want to start food shopping online now....

Here Here!
I am glad I am not the only one who hates garbage in the shopping carts and I have never ever understood why people throw dirty diapers in carts and in the parking lot.

Liz - Heh heh. I'm glad I'm not that much of a sucker YET.

Velcro - Maybe people that litter don't think because they are incapable. :)

Roxanne - You could always carry a can of Lysol with you.

Paula - I'm like an owl, baby.

Ms. L. - I agree.

Chelle - I won't clean it. I keep looking for a clean(er) cart.

Lori - Maybe they think the trash fairy comes.

I am SO printing this out.

But I will have to change Trash Can to Rubbish Bin so it sounds right here.

And no, I've never found a dirty nappy.

But it often feels as though there might as well have been one there.

People are such grubs.

When I go to the store, I get one of those carts you can ride around in. They are always clean because store people have to put them away. I love tidy.

Aunty Evil,

That's true!

I also forgot the tags that people rip off their merchandise after they've bought it.

At least I hope they've bought it.
