Apple Pie
Fall is coming. It's a time when this old gal's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of apple pie.
I love apple pie and apple crisp too.
Nobody in the household shares my extreme love for apple pie. That means I can make it however I want.
Or maybe I'll make an apple crisp. Or MAYBE I'll put pie crust on the bottom and crisp on top. I'll have my pie and eat it too.
It could be that I'll top it with some vanilla ice cream or even better, soy ice cream. Perhaps I'll even squirt a wee bit of whipped cream on top of that! There is no replacement for whipped cream.
Some Johnathon apples will make a fine pie indeed. I can't wait.

For me? Apple pie definitely. With my new doctor recommended ban on cinnamon, I am not a happy camper. Tell me, how DO you make apple pie without cinnamon??????
Nutmeg? That's all that comes to mind for me. LOL
Make enough for two, just as soon as I get there we can share it... how long do you think it will take me to swim to your place?????? I like my pie hot!
My favourite wavers between steak and kidney, and chicken & mushroom.
apple crumble with double cream (whipped of course). MrV and my father would say that custard was better but bleh to that!

I love all manner of pies and crisps...apple, pear, pumpkin!
coconut custard, which no one likes but me and my father in law. but honestly, i have never met a pie i didn't like.

At least we have In-N-Out? (That we so kindly share and franchise or two with Nevada)...
Oh, and you can come visit me at work on Wednesday nights. EVERY Wednesday we have Apple Crisp (sometimes cherry, usually apple)... Without fail... our food menu is more regular than... well... I'll leave the rest of that for you to fill in...
Oh, and we have fresh, hot, gooey, yummy cinnimon rolls Wednesday night too... bt those are put in the snack room "staff only" you can have my share as well...

Livesbythewoods - That's two votes for steak and kidney. Apple crisp is apples topped with a mixture of oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon, butter and flour. Delicious indeed.
