Feeling Weary

Today is a blah day. My allergies are flaring up. My house is cluttered and I am so damn tired of this economy.

WAH!

I took the kids to the park today. There was a meet up of the Moms group I belong to. Since I hadn't been to one in months, it was time.

I didn't like it very much. It is so easy to talk to people via e-mail. But to talk to people in real life, where I can't think about what I say before hitting the send button, it is absolutely painful and stress-inducing.

WAH!

Someone cheer me up with stories of your fabulous weekend.

Email is easier, isn't it? Less pressure, somehow.

Bearette - You are so right. Maybe my dependence on e-mail is making my social anxiety worse.

My weekend wasn't fabulous, but I did get to see a movie (for $1.25) at the theater. Revolution Road. Oh, and I shopped at Sam's Club. Woo!

Roxanne - That's a great price. How was Revolution Road? Did you get lots of food at Sam's club?

I spent the weekend at the Jersey shore with 6 high school girlfriends with whom I've reconnected via Facebook. Without kids. We sat around the condo, drank (coffee, alcohol, etc.), ate yummy food, slept in, walked on the beach, watched movies, and talkedtalkedtalked. It was BLISS.

Babelbabe - Now that's a worthy weekend. I'm so glad you had fun. Kid-free, girl only weekends are some of the best kind!

WE went to the beach.
We had chicken and cheese sandwiches on the beach.
WE saw a live octopus and poked it.
We went for a long long walk on the beach.
WE had an ice cream on the way home.
I gained 3 pounds.
I didn't care!
THAT. IS. ALL.

We did our grocery shopping on Saturday evening. That's what passes for date night around here.

You have to relax. No matter how hard you try, sometimes things come out differently than you meant. All you can do is explain and if that person doesn't accept your explanation, you have to forget about it.

You are a kind person so I can't imagine too much coming out the wrong way.

Love,

Mom

I didn't do anything exciting last weekend or this weekend for that matter, lol My life is laaaame.
I have long decided to embrace my
social anxiety. I am a weird dork, plain and simple. That doesn't mean it doesn't suck at times though.I hope you feel better. For the record, one of the
many reasons I love you,is because
you are who you are:) XOXOXO

Chris H - LOL at the live octopus. Sounds fun!

Liz - You can take your husband to the store and NOT spend the whole check for the month? Wow. I won't even let mine step foot in the grocery store.

Mom - Thanks. I don't know what I said but one of the moms was giving me the stink eye!

SmartAsh - I really enjoyed the play. Good blog idea.

Ms. L - Thank you. I hope if we ever meet IRL, you will still like me!

I find it much easier to be me online and in emails. Plus it seems like people in real society just don't get my sense of humor. Oh well. I amuse myself at least.
